On Earth-Eight, a winged warrior from Canada known as the Flying Fox aided the Americans during World War II. A lad with powerful potential with the ability to fly and project realistic illusions. He was one of a young crop of heroes inspired by the Freedom Fighters, and in a post-Crisis Earth it was the Squadron that motivated him to join.
His counterpart on Earth-One was Man-Bat aka zoologist Kirk Langstrom, who could also fly and see through illusions with his sonar ability. On Earth-Two, it was another native North American like Flying Fox named Flying Stag, who as Super-Chief flew swiftly through the air.

While Super-Chief did not become a human-animal hybrid like Man-Bat, his bison mask coupled with his flight and superhuman strength made him comparable to his Earth-One counterpart. And his belief system and cultural identity mirrored that of his Earth-Eight counterpart Flying Fox.
While the native Canadian Flying Fox remained a stellar superhero among his peers for years to come, Langstrom eventually retired as Man-Bat following some relapsed into his bestial personality, while Flying Stag only had a brief career in 1985 following his time-displacement during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
