Supermen Revenge Squads of Two Earths

The Superman Revenge Squad had its origin on the planet Wehr II, when Superboy interferred in their goals of interstellar conquest. The Wehrian dictators and their minions banded together to form the Squad, intent on destroying their mutual foe. Tracking Superboy’s thought patterns to his adopted home world, they planned to transmit a devastating bomb that would obliterate Earth-One. Temporarily removing memory of his alter ego as Superboy, the Squad’s scheme was squelched. They would return later enlisting Superboy’s aid to save their sun. 

Years later, the now Superman Revenge Squad hatched various catastrophes upon Superman, utilizing red Kryptonite to induce nightmare visions and other mind molding methods to mentally manipulate the Man of Steel. On one occasion, the Revengers created a replica of Earth-One in another universe including synthetic versions of Superman’s friends and family. Another time, they refashioned a Superman robot into the being known as Ajax as their pawn against his former creator. Each occasion ended the same, with Superman coming out victorious, and the Revengers involved eliminated by their overlords due to their failure.

Blue-skinned Nugat, Karmeel, Ksuu and their brothers were servants of Creator2, a planetary designer tasked with creating a new world in place of Earth-Two. In order to do this, Creator2 and his Wehrians and aids  sought to merge their universe’s Earth with that of Earth-One, using the android Red Tornado’s dimension-spanning abilities. They knew they would be opposed by the Justice Society of America. And so, Creator2’s blue-skinned Mendicant slaves were equipped with web-snares specially developed to capture the Society’s individual members.

Using these, they subdued Superman, Doctor Mid-Nite and the Flash. The effects of the alien nets which captured the trio were felt by Earth-One's Superman, Flash and... Batman!. Soon almost all of the JSA were left comatose by this alien horde. However, thanks to the intervention of the Spectre along with Doctor Fate and the Thunderbolt, Creator2’s space-vessel was destroyed, along with all its occupants. This ended the threat of a potential Superman Revenge Squad that could’ve formed to menace Earth-Two and its Superman in the years to come.

Space Sectors of Green Lantern Corps Meet Council of Living Suns

The Guardians of the Universe partitioned and designated 3600 Space Sectors for their Green Lantern Corps, with the goal of combatting evil throughout their reality. This was due to the wave of evil unleashed by one of their own, Krona, which spawned the Multiverse. Throughout countless centuries, generation after generation of these power-ring protectors would monitor their section of the universe, of which the first official Corps member from Earth-One was Hal Jordan. He was tasked with guarding sector 2814, and as Green Lantern inspired others such as Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Charlie Vicker to likewise assume this identity at various times.

In fact, Charlie was assigned sector 3319, although he eventually returned to his homeworld. The renegade Green Lantern known as Sinestro had been given stewartship over sector 1417. Tragically, the Green Lantern of sector 2813 Tomar-Re was unable to save a prominent world there, Krypton-One, from exploding due to internal pressures whose origin was a mystery for years. These are but a few examples, as several other sectors have been identified progressively over the years, made more widely known by their Green Lanterns interactions with Hal Jordan over time.

On a parallel dimensional plane, the Guardians released a portion of their energy into that other universe, spawning the Starheart. For a time it would be alone, as a sentient star. Eventually, it would find fellowship in similar cosmically imbued sentient beings within  stellar bodies throughout their universe’s numerous galaxies.

In fact, both Krypton-One and Krypton-Two were designed by the Sun-Thrivers, gaseous beings whose existence had depended on their encasing themselves within an artificial sun. However, the sun needed a counter-balance to maintain its internal gravity, and so pulled together enough mass to form a large planet within that red sun's orbit. Given the nature of its creation, each Krypton was prone to be doomed eventually. With the aid of Kal-El, the Superman now of Earth-One, they built an orange sun to sustain them.

Kal-L, aka the Superman now of Earth-Two, likewise encountered twin Kryptonite powered green suns orbiting Colu-Two. Utlizing his universe's Sun-Thrivers technology  to create them, the immortal villain Vandal Savage used these green suns to siphon off energy from Superman and Power Girl. When he failed and escaped capture with help from mystery beings (probably Savage’s allies the Sun-Thrivers) the twin suns remained.

Throughout the centuries since its creation in the 6th century, the Sun-Thriver within one of these two Kryptonite suns turned insane. Known as Aquarius, now a member with other sentient suns of the self-titled Council of Living Stars, it was stripped of power and banned for its insidious actions. After briefly regaining power through Starman's Cosmic Rod before being defeated by the Supermen and their allies in the Justice League and Justice Society, Aquarius was no more.

The remaining members of the Council of Living Stars, each inhabited by a Sun-Thriver and imbued with power like that of the Starheart, took a more active role in policing their reality than had their counterparts. They assumed the role of intergalactic protectors for sections of their universe... as had the Green Lantern Corps!

Malevolent Moon Men Menaces

Unbeknownst to humanity below, the satellite orbiting their blue planet had reclusive civilizations, distant relatives of man possessing tremendous power. One sought to usurp their larger cousin, the other sought to control savage forces from within. On the moon of Earth-One, these people were known as the Lunarians and on Earth-Two's moon they are named the Selenites. While each race resembles humans, they have distinct differences, with the Lunarians having a brightly yellow skin hue, and with some... though not all... Selenites possessing only one eye!

The first indication of life on the moon was in the summer of 1942, when Superman and Wonder Woman of Earth-Two ventured there in order to resolve a conflict between them regarding whether America had the right to control the destructive power of the atom. Before battling one another, the pair of Justice Society members noticed grand architecture left behind by a mysterious people no longer present. Then a year later, while battling the 30th century villain Rajak, Green Lantern and his pal Doiby Dickles followed him to the moon. There, the peaceful Selenites King Shel-Don welcomed the visiting terrans to his underground city... and were later attacked by the rival Core-Men who opposed the Selenites. By vaniquishing Shel-Don's foe, the King gave Lantern the Moon Stone, although Raakj temporarily stole it. Later, Green Lantern and Doiby were pulled back to the moon during an eclipse, and met a different faction of Selenites who were former Atlanteans!

On Earth-One, Superman first encountered the Lunarians when natural disasters plagued the globe, originating from the moon. Kidnapped by agents of their Queen, Primor Trena, Superman was intended to be her King after he was led into battle with the current King. Meanwhile, all superheroes on Earth temporarily forgot about their costumed alter egos, leaving Earth-One unprotected. Superman was able to convince the Lunarians to leave the moon for an artificial planet he created rather than take over Earth.

Crimson Creatures Creating Chaos

Ungara-One was famous for being home to the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2814, Abin Sur. When their hero died on a mission close to Earth-One, where he crash-landed, a replacement was selected by Sur himself. Test pilot Hal Jordan proved a worthy successor, and early in his career saved the planet of his predecessor from the destructive path of a comet.

However, news of their champion Sur’s death left their society fragmented. This led to a world-wide civil war, with one side developing a deadly orbiting plasma satellite and the other attempting to defuse it. Instead, they inadvertently activated it, causing it to unleash its destructive energies which causes over one hundred million deaths as well as causing its planetary orbit to shift radically. This turned Ungara-One into a frigid polar planet.

Ungara-Two did not have the noble legacy of the Green Lantern Corps to draw strength from, and so adopted their more destructive tendencies earlier than their counterparts. Developing deadly globe-beings sent to Earth-Two, these caused that world to become a frigid polar planet. Doctor Fate tracked the origin of the globe beings to the shifting orbital world of Ungara-Two, where he quickly destroyed it an all its inhabitants!!!

As for Hal Jordan, he was more merciful, using his great power with help from fellow Green Lantern Arisia, to restore Ungara-One’s climate to normal. A key question remains. What caused Doctor Fate to be judge, jury and executioner of an entire globe? Did the inhabitants of this world remind Fate of someone else, who likewise in his eyes deserved no mercy?

It may have been Fate’s previous experience on his native world of Celia, the planet where he and his fellow Lords of Order originated. These Lords became obsessed with eliminating disturbances to this order, such as the Lords of Chaos. Among their agents was the Doctor's arch-enemy, Wotan!

In fact, like Ungara One and Two, the parallel planets of Gemworld (which by the 30th century had become known as planet Xerox) and Celia were indirectly instrumental in the affairs of Earths One and Two, respectively. While the greatest adversary to those of Celia was Wotan, his counterpart Dark Opal was even more effective, having conquered Gemworld. In fact, his legacy may have influence the evil Mordru by the 30th century, who had assumed Opal's throne having conquered Xerox.

Ironically, bringing this Twice-Told Tale back full circle, while the Abin Sur of Ungara motivated Hal Jordan into becoming Green Lantern, Wotan had for a time caused Alan Scott to rethink his role as Green Lantern after a battle between the two led to the tragic death of a young man.

Hidden Hemispheres of Hyperspace

Hyperspace is defined as four or more dimensions folded upon itself, creating a multi-dimensional universal plane of existence. 

On one occasion, four Krptonian prisoners of the Phantom Zone discovered the means to reach a planet with unusual properties in an adjacent dimension they also labeled an "alternate universe"*. From this world, they launched deadly robotic Anachroids to wreak havok in space and time, until the Superman and Flash of Earth-One tracked them to their source and defeated these creatures and their masters. This trans-dimensional world may have been the same as Rokyn, where the Kandorians resided once Superman and Supergirl enlarged them.

This world had a counterpart in an "alternate universe"* of Earth-Two, a psuedo-Pluto which the Spectre had been exiled to, wherein the inhabitants spoke a language derived from that of the Andromedan Galaxy, the same galaxy where Krypton once resided! Could these have been long lost Kryptonian refugees? The domed city on this Pluto mirrored the once bottled city of Kandor. After quelling a civil war, Spectre later returned to this world, exiling Nazi agents there, no doubt out of revenge for their treatment of he and his Justice Society allies.

In face, six of his Justice Society colleagues had been simultaneously captured and also exiled into hyperspace via experimental rocketships by enemy Nazi agents. Hawkman was sent to a Saturn-like world named Arkania, a militant people like those of the extra-dimensional world Llorth, whom the Earth-One Hawkman once encountered. Later, the younger Hawkman traveled on twice through another dimensional warp to the world of Illoral, a mirror image of the Wingworld that Wonder Woman of the Justice Society visited more than once. Queen Desira and her daughter Princess Eve of Wingworld had counterparts in Dwyanna Ral of Llorth and Queen Maya of Floria.

The Atom of Earth-One and Doctor Mid-Nite of Earth-Two likewise visited other-dimensional worlds in Floria and Faux-Neptune (the Atom of Earth-Two visited a hyperspacial version of Mars like that of Mars II settled by the Martian Manhunter and his people in Earth-One's universe). 

Fellow Justice Society members Starman and Sandman visited worlds resembling Jupiter and Uranus with strange substance sentients as had the Metal Men of Earth-One , such as the alien Robot-spider Queen and minions of Metalus 5. Jimmy Olsen of Earth-One and Johnny Thunder of Earth-Two likewise ventured to alien dimensions on the same occasions as their peers Superman and Spectre above.

* The term "alternate universe" used for worlds visited by the individual Justice Leaguers and Justice Socialites as mentioned is different from that of planets in a "parallel universe". The alternate universe simply means an adjacent dimension attached to either the Earth-One or Earth-Two universe, respectively.

Greedy Green Gordanians Goad Global Guardians

The rogue reptilian Gordanian of planet Karna were known throughout the Vega star system as slavers of various worlds, at times working alongside the Citadel empire. Eventually, their conflict spilled over into the Terran  system, where their forces met Earth's heroes.

On Earth-One, the  invading Gordanians were in pursuit of Tamaran Princess Koriand'r, aka Starfire. This brought them into conflict with the recently assembled New Teen Titans, of whom Starfire joined. A later encounter was led her sister Blackfire aka Komand'r, which likewise led to their defeat. Their other foes were the Omega Men, led by Primus of planet Euophiox.

Residents of Euophiox's cosmic twin planet Tora* were oppressed by their reality's version of the Gordanians. Seeking assistance, the leader of Tora known as Beran lured several humans of Earth-Two** including Batman and Robin to his world via a rocket ship disguised as a tourist attraction. On Tora, the Dynamic Duo and their Terran and Toran allies allied with the former jailers of the Gordanians, capturing their forces and liberating the planet. 

* We know that this tale, in 1958, took place on Earth-Two and not on Earth-One, as Robin's counterpart did not recognize nor acknowledge the Gordanians when they first battled his Titans.

** A divergent strand of Gordanians journeyed to Earth-Two, led by Ayrn the Underlord, where they built a vast subterranean city underneath the surface. They briefly had an alliance with the Injustice Society, and afterwards battled the Justice Society of America.

Space & Sub Men - Omega Opponents & Mole Men

The Omega Men were a team of rebels hailing from the Vegan planetary system, consisting of twenty-five habitable planets, which had been ruled for millenia by the Citadelians. Among their members were: Primus, Kalista, Auron, Shlagen, Tigorr, Broot, Nimbus, Harpis, Demonia, Felicity, Doc, and various other newer recruits who joined their ranks over time.

These freedom fighters journeyed to Earth-One and joined forces with Green Lantern, Superman, and the New Teen Titans. During their initial encounter with Superman, the Omega Men battled the Mole and his gang. The villain and his henchmen had stolen a version of the subterranean vessel known as the Mighty Mole, which had been designed by explorer Cave Carson. The former assistant to Carson turned crimelord, the Mole captured a depowered Superman and nearly executed him, until the Omega Men's timely intervention.

During the Crisis on Infinite Earths, these Omega Men protected their own solar system while continuing their fight against their alien overlords. One adversary of their's the mutated galactic-level threat known as X-Hal, merged the world Kuraq of Earth-One's universe with its parallel planets in the four remaining alternate universes of Earth-Two, Earth-S, Earth-Four and Earth-X. There, she ensnared her foe Nimbus, who merged his conscientiousness with this planet. It is unknown how stable this new composite Kuraq would be, at the conjunction of five distinct cosmic realms.

In one of those other universes, the aliens in Vegan planetary system remained separate, although one species with the blended appearance of Demonia, Tigorr and Green Man's people apparently ventured to Earth-Two. These became the ancestors of a race of beings living below the surface, creepy crawly creatures discovered during the 20th century by the Ultra-Humanite. Ultra had  been drawn to their underground lair using her subterranean drilling vehicle (similar to the Mighty Mole) in order to escape her arch-enemy Superman.

These creatures, which Ultra's named the Sub-Men, were obedient to her due to their now reduced mental capacity and the loss of their females from their species. They battled Green Lantern, Superman, Liberty Belle and the All-Star Squadron on a few occasions in 1942. Then, as her sinister schemes seemed near completion, Ultra had her henchman Deathbolt execute those Sub-Men in her presence. Whether anymore survived is unknown.

As for the leaders of the Omega Men, the husband and wife royal couple known as Primus and Kalista, they had counterparts on Earth-Two who never met one another. Henry King Junior inherited mental abilities like those of his father, similar to those displayed by Primus, only Henry used these for good rather than evil as Brain Wave Junior. He would venture to 1942 to assist his young allies, Infinity, Inc., who were brought to that time and used as pawns by Ultra. During this adventure, Henry encountered the Sub-Men before their untimely demise. As for Kalista's counterpart, the exiled royal known as Miss Fear, she was currently in Asia and encountered the Blackhawk Squadron a few years later. Like Kalista, Miss Fear had the talent to draw upon the dread of her opponents, which she used against them.

Hawkmen & Shadow-Thieves of Thanagar and Ragnor

The existence of planet Thanagar, orbiting the star sun Polaris, was first revealed to humanity when its law enforcement officers Katar & Shayera Hol journeyed to Earth-One. Their task was to learn from the police of this third world from the sun, which would benefit their people. Adopting the aliases of Hawkman and Hawkgirl using anti-gravity metal to fly, the Hols defended Midway City and their adopted world as a crime-fighting duo, and later as members of the Justice League of America. One of their first foes was Carl Sands, a criminal inventor who became the Shadow-Thief, using his Dimensiometer to become a living shadow.

The invading alien queen Hyanthis had saved the Thanagarians from an Equalizing Plague which stymied their civilization, and demanded to be acknowledged as their sovereign. She then recruited Sands, enlisting him into creating a Shadow Squad, with devices like his own. These shadow men, along with the legion of Wingmen, subjugated this once free world under her authoritarian rule. Hyanthis was opposed by the Halls, who were then exiled from the planet of their birth until they liberated it some time after. 

However, given the loss of scientific knowledge during the plague, the Wingmen were replaced by the remaining Shadow Squad, which launched a Shadow War on Earth-One. Their goal, to steal both the anti-gravity and other technology now lost to them, which Hawkman and Hawkgirl possessed.

The inhabitants of Thanagar's dimensional twin planet ventured to Earth-Two over a thousand years before this, founding a city in the Sahara Desert near Egypt named Ragnor in honor of their homeworld. These birdmen brought with them Nth metal which had anti-gravitational properties, allowing them to glide in the air. Their queen eventually tried to initially conquer England and then the world, and so challenged its hero of the time... the Silent Knight... into battle with her hawkmen. The Knight triumphed over them, and later his descendant Carter Hall rediscovered Nth Metal, first acquired by their earlier ancestor Prince Khufu of Egypt from the birdmen's Ragnor city outpost. 

As Hawkman, he and his girlfriend Shiera aka Hawkgirl joined the Justice Society in battling evil scientist Ian Karkull. Karkull had developed shadow transforming technology after visiting the now-deserted Sahara city of Ragnor (where it was hinted he learned the secret to perform this fantastic feat). Transforming himself and his minions into shadows, Ian twice faced Doctor Fate, who defeated him each time. Later, Karkull attempted to plunge America into chaos, only to be stopped by the Hawks along with the remaining allies of the Justice Society of America. Karkull was seemingly destroyed, while his subservient shadow men merged with the Society members... granting them extended lives!

Rann's Agressive Adrift Aliens Antagonize

Rann is well known as the home world of Sardath, inventor of the Zeta-Beam and father to Alanna. Through their efforts at trans-galactic communication with other alien civilizations, they inadvertently transported archaeologist Adam Strange to their planet, where he quickly became Rann's greatest protector. Adam and Alanna, allowed romantic feelings to grow leading to their engagement. Sadly, after each threat to Rann was dealt with by the pair, the Zeta-Beam charge in Strange's body usually wore off. This left him back on the world of his birth, Earth-One.

One one occasion, Adam arrived on Rann-One when the entire human society was threatened by their age-old foes, the blue-skinned Kirri. Thought long extinct following an epic comflict between umans and Kirri, the latter returned from the ice caverns they had hidden in for thousands of years. Utilizing an aqua-ray weaponry attached to their sky-sleds, the Kirri literally liquidated most of the humans, imprisoning them in icy tombs within their hidden base. Strange likewise was immobilized in one of these, but thanks to the intervention of a human dog he accidentally brought with him to Rann-One, Adam freed himself and subdued the Kirri. Later, Rann-One was brought into Earth-One's solar system, before Adam and Hawkman returned it to its native Alpha Centari system.

Earth-Two likewise experienced an appearance by Rann-Two when it appeared in the Sol solar system in  April 1941. The green-skinned Kirri had long conquered the humans of Rann-Two using their special life-stealing ray, which helped prolong their own lives. Seeking to replicate this success by barging cities on Earth-Two with their rays, while riding their sky-sleds, they met resistance from the Spectre. After an initial failure, Spectre was able to finally defeat the once invincible Kirri, imprisoning them.

The Kirri of Rann-One would return under the leadership of invading warlord Kanjar Ro during the Rann-Thanagar War, when they were once more subdued by Adam Strange along with Alanna and their allies Hawkman and Hawkgirl. Another reappearance of the Kirri were later dealt with by Adam and Batman. 

The Kirri of Rann-Two never returned, given their foe Spectre was much more powerful and far less merciful than Strange. However, the humans residing in the city of Rannagar-Two detached from Rann-Two, and would remain in orbit around Earth-Two. Years later on April 1947, it’s inhabitants the Specialists interacted with Spectre's teammate Hawkman. Similarly, the city of Rannagar-One along with its planet once exchanged places with Earth-One, trading places in each other's solar systems due to the Zeta Beam transfer, until Adam Strange and Superman reversed the process.

Menacing Malignant Masses Meddle with Metahumans

Lord Damyn and Ayrn the Underlord were imposing menacing masses that ruled over their empire and caused chaos for crimefighters who, they faced on one occasion.

For Lord Damyn, supreme master of the outer space creature conglomerate known as the Citadel, his doom occurred when he allied with the evil Blackfire to recapture her sister Starfire. Now a member of the New Teen Titans, he allies from Earth-One helped turn the tide in battle which led the Blackfire betraying and slaying Damyn, assuming his rulership role.

For Underlord, supreme master of the subterranean civilization underneath Earth-Two, his downfall came after he allied himself with the Injustice Society. Although he captured members of the Justice Society who encroaches upon his kingdom to investigate, the Socialite Power Girl eventually overpowered Underlord.

Planets of the DC Multiverse: Awesome Ancient Aliens

Sometimes greater ages leads to greater wisdom, sometimes it leads to more intense folly. These two races which we'll now consider are their universe's oldest humanoids and, as such, accessed tremendous powers they use to achieved vastly different goals.

Earth-One's dimension was overseen a race originally called the Malthusians from the planet Malthus, journey to the center of the universe. Therein they found the planet Oa and became the Guardians of the Universe, harnessing emerald energies to empower android Manhunter agents and later the Green Lantern Corps to combat the evil spread by their evil brother, Krona at the beginning of the Multiverse.

And one such dimension in this Multiverse had a race equivalent to the Guardians in the form of the Buddak from their world of that name. Among these being were high lamas who also harnessed vast energies which they horded for themselves in order to achieve perfection. On one occasion in the 20th century, they attempted to remake Earth-Two by realigning the continents to accomplish this goal. As their own universe did not contain a counterpart of Oa (its twin was Qward in the Anti-Matter Universe), the closest equivalent was apparently Earth itself although the center of all other universes was the Rock of Eternity that originated from Earth-S. Thankfully, Doctor Fate and Earth-One's Superman stopped their evil plan, and this malevolent race disappeared thereafter. However, while residents of Malthus and Buddak reflected good and evil as parallel peoples, those of Malhtus that arrived on Oa to become the Guardians had a different class that reflected their ideals, originating on Earth-Two!

Sinister Sub-Atomic Saturnians Seeking Stolen Success

Chan Yull was a prominent scientist on the sub-atomic planet of Klaramar residing on Saturn. Yull sought world rulership ceded to himself by the ruling council by planting a time-bomb that would destroy Klaramar. Instead, he was seemingly executed, although in fact he merely transported to his moon base. In the interim, a representative of the Klaramarian government sent Klee Pan to discover the time-bomb, which he was able to locate with the aid of two Highway Patrol officers. On three separate occasions, Yull... known to those on Earth-One as the Faceless Hunter of Saturn... was defeated by the two humans and Chan's people. Yull would once more return as a pawn of the Forgotten Villains, facing Superman and the newly formed Forgotten Heroes. Despite possessing tremendous size and scientific powers over electricity, the Hunter was unable to seize the victory he continued to seek.

While the Klaramarians easily adapted to the Terran climate, their counterparts found while revisiting Earth-Two that they were vulnerable to its atmosphere. Arriving on an island via their spaceship in August of 1940, these alien giants discovered that they world they precious explored had changed radically. Using a device to draw an ocean liner towards them in order to investigate the humans aboard, their actions caught the attention of Doctor Fate. Together with his companion Inza Cramer, the Doctor engaged the “Space Men of Mars” (as they were called by those present) in battle. Fate destroyed these invaders’ electricity emitting gloves, the source of their power, and exert superior strength over these creatures. Due to prolonged exposure to oxygen, these Space Men expired, their origins left a mystery.

Wanderers of Space: Specialists of Wonder

Orbiting the star Alpha Centari A was its third planet, Rann. This world was similar to Earth, except having come into existence much earlier. On Rann, various city-states rather than nations formed around its globe. Principle among these was the capital city known as Ranagar. As mentioned during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, all worlds... aside from the planet Oa in Earth-One's universe... had twins in every other parallel reality. While the other Rann's had largely unkonwn histories, much was known about Rann-One... thanks to its hero.

On Ranagar-One, chief scientist Sardath attempted to communicate with Earth-One using an experimental Zeta-Beam. Instead, this beam accidentally teleported archaeologist Adam Strange to Rann-One. There, Adam met Sardath and his daugher Alanna, whom Strange quickly fell in love with. 

Together, the pair had dozens of adventures, vending off a variety of alien invasions as well battling native Rannians seeking to conquer this world. Among other Rannians who Strange encounters are the ancient genius Alva Xar, dictator Avanar Bar, lab assistant Mortan, inventor Thanas Pral, young lady Lurinor, and others.

Due to the Zeta-Beam, on occasion Earth-One was brought into the solar system of Rann-One, and visa versa, with the two cultures indirectly meeting through a select view, Among those was Hawkman, who during these tales met and developed a friendship with Adam Strange. 

Among the greatest threats to the humans on Rann were its other main inhabitants, the blue-skinned Kirri who resided in ice caverns for thousands of years following a devastating war between the two races. When they reappeared using Aqua-Rays to liquidate their human enemies, the Kirris more than once nearly were victorious until Strange found ways to defeat them. A green skinned version of the Kirri likewise threatened Rann-Two and, later, Earth-Two!

The Ranagar of Rann-Two, with various Specialists, had more malevolent in their methodical machinations. Separating from its homeworld when the Spectre banished the Kirri into space in April 1941, this đomed space metropolis of Rannagar-Two (much like the Kryptonian domed Argo City of Earth-One's universe) continued to orbit Earth-Two for years. When the city's chief engineer perished, the city vessel crashlanded on Earth-Two in April 1947. There, it met that world's Hawkman.

Although at first wishing only to assimilate into the terran culture as they were stranded in their spacial voyage, their lack of morals led to the Winged Warrior's aiding them in returning to outer space after a few weeks of trouble they caused humanity. Among their members were: Speaker, Master Hypnotist, Rayer, Engineer and others unnamed ... each with unique powers and appearances. 

Rayer himself appears especially menacing, much as a robotic duplicate of Adam Strange whom the original faced on one occasion. One Specialist named Robomb remained on Earth-Two, to bedevil aviator hero Hop Harrigan.

The Specialists eventually returned, as seen by their 30th century descendant Raakj (who had a similar appearance and amoral attitude like that of his ancestors) and his colleagues, who lived on the Earth-Two of that era. So apparently, the Specialists of Ranagar as a whole assimilitated into humanity.

Alien Invasions of the DC Multiverse: The Chameleons

While the inhabitants of Durla-One, although not trusted by other races throughout their universe due to their unusual appearances, were overall good... their dopplegangers on Durla-Two were not. As conquerors, they used their shape-shifting abilities for selfish purposes, such as when they invaded 30th Century Earth-Two. As mentioned by writer Paul Levitz in Adventure Comics #296, the initially green skinned chameleon race who infiltrated the Legion was an altered form of the Durlans, only these were prone towards evil. And they looked similar to the Chameleon invaders who the Justice Society of America faced in the future.

During that same period on Earth-One, it was Chameleon Boy aka Reep Daggle who protected that world alongside his allies on the Legion of Super-Heroes. Reep had a counterpart in Earth-Two's  Defender, who was one of the Chameleon infiltrators into human society, yet turned towards helping humanity instead. On one occasion he fought alongside Hawkman, whom Reep himself had also met. Reep had to contend with his arch-rival Chameleon Chief of the Legion of Super-Villains, who like that rogue's counterpart Chogpu the Chameleon Chief intending on subjecting humanity to his and his people's rule. Another Durlan who turned human and was the founder of the Legion of Super-Heroes on Earth-One was businessman R.J. Brandt whose counterpart businessman C.F. Tanner was a faithful Durlan spy on Earth-Two.
