These two greedy goons happened to be in the right place at the right time. For Ira Quimby, thanks to exposure to a Zeta Beam irradiated rock, he gained intelligence that approached genius levels. For Thomas Tucker, his intellect came to him through genetics which led to irritation over being swindled out of royalties to an invention by corporate crooks. Quimby in his alias as Mister I.Q. equipped his gang with high-tech gadgets, which was also the modus operandi Mister Gadget. One looked like a cool biker gang boss, the other a geeky crime gang boss. Still, both were incredible intellects through and through.Twice these masterminds battled the Hawkmen and Hawkmwomen of Earths One and Two. Then Mister I.Q. graduated to the big leagues, dueling once with the Justice League of America, then a couple of battles with Superman. Mister Gadget would repeatedly plague the Law's Legionnaires Star Spangled Kid and Stripesty repeatedly for half a dozen capers.
