Supergirls from Other Worlds: One Hit Wonders
Previously we considered
twin Maidens of Steel, Supergirl and Power Girl. Turns out they were not alone in their respective universes, as there were another pair of heroines who garnered Supermen's attention.
Lea Lindy harkened from the world of Terra, herself sole survivor of an subterranean world. Gaining Superman-like powers above ground, she was her adopted people's resident heroine, Marvel Maid. Supergirl of Earth-One traveled to her world to attempt a justify going public by taking the Maid's place.
Alas, she didn't succeed and so left Terra back in the hands of Maid and her own cousin Marvel Man, her junior partner who was still in training like Kara.
Jannie was from the world of Karma, where her civilization lived far above the surface which had been overrun by vegetation. Possessing superhuman physiques far above those of those from Earth-Two, she and her partner Flingo journeyed to that world to recruit the Flash to help them defeat a trio of tyrants who took over their planet.
After the Flash and his girlfriend Joan along with their three friends Winky, Blinky and Noddy helped free Karma from the tyrannical trio's grip of power, they returned to their world. Flash would return to this world one additional time, to help prevent a grim future of an alien invasion.
Interestingly, his fellow Earth-man Evart Keenan was a scientist gifted with an intellect centuries ahead of his time, like that of Earth-One's Captain Comet. And, in fact, Comet's longtime friend and colleague Professor Emery Zackro was the doppleganger of Earth-Two's Keenan.
Both Terra and Karma were said to have resided in the universes of Earth-One and Earth-Two, respectively. However, the fact that the inhabitants of both worlds had identical twins on the Earths is a cosmic coincidence that is staggering and, in fact, astronomical!
