Cat Got Your Tongue, Lionmane?

Two Lionmanes appeared on two Earths to menace two members of the Justice League/Society on two occasions defeated twice!

Ed Dawson was an archeologist exposed to a strange meteor that transformed him into a human lion, perhaps becoming an advanced scout for an alien race that never appeared. Battling Earth-One's Hawkman and Hawkgirl with ferociousness unmatched by their other foes, he was nevertheless transformed back each time thanks to their timely interventions.

On Earth-Two, a henchman of Catwoman known only as Lionmane also had a feral appearance like his counterpart and strength to match, but was apparently born that way. In an untold case, this criminal evidently betrayed his former mistress and after a battle in which Catwoman was victorious, she delivered him to the police. Lionmane was then incarcerated for decades in Gotham's prison island. Fomenting a prison riot, he drew the attention of their daughter the Huntress who eventually quelled the prisoners by defeating their instigator by matching his might with her tenacity.

While the original Lionmane of Earth-Two appeared twice to battle Catwoman in the 1940's and then her daughter the Huntress in the 1970's, the second Lionmane of Earth-One had two consequitive appearences versus Hawkman and Hawkgirl before reverting permanently to Ed Dawson.
