They were successful, until the Darkknight Detectives of twin Earths stood up to them. Earth-One's Batman accidentally gained the same powers as his adversary and led them both to Gotham's police headquarters, Earth-Two's Batman tricked Human Magnet into clapping his hands together causing them to bond indefinitely. Both Zebra-Man and Human Magnet limped away as prisoners never to resurface. However, another Human Magnet would torment Robotman of Earth-Two while Magnar of New Genesis once fueled with Superman of Earth-One. But those are tales for another time.
