Among the most storied of relationships on Earth-S was between Captain Marvel and Bulletman. Each man possesed superstrength, could fly swiftly, and loved splashing on some red and yellow in their supersuits. They also attracted the same type of low-lives. Specifically, the newly spawned Captain Nazi, sent by Hitler on a rampage of America with the goal of defeating these two heroes as well as their allied Spy Smasher and Minute Man. Although neither champion had opportunity to clash with the superhuman SS stooge, each continually thwarted Nazi's nefarious schemes while protecting the innocent. That is, until the evil Captain fell from the sky into the sea below, and found himself fished out by a meek man and his grandson, the former losing his life and the latter nearly doing the same. Yet from this encounter came another champion for Hitler's henchman to deal with, the World's Mightiest Lad was about to appear, harnessing the powers of his mentor and savior while adopting his name, becoming Captain Marvel Junior.
And it was Junior who immediately tracked down Captain Nazi, alongside his new ally Bulletman (with whom he would bump from the front cover of Master Comics). Once more, the adversarial alien was slippery enough to elude permanent capture, although Nazi would enounter both Captains repeatedly through the early 1940's before he would reemerge from suspended animation to resume his fight against humanity in the 1970's. However, something else grew from this occasion, a friendship which drew Bulletman and Cap Junior together as the core of the future Crime Crusaders Club and later Squadron of Justice. And, more importantly, a decades long friendship.
