The Girls of Steel faced their share of challenging opponents, however today's pair had the potential to truly overpower Supergirl and Power Girl. This pair of problematic power players from other worlds: Mongul and Zanadu. Each Yellow skimmed purple clad curds possessed vast power and indomitable will to conquer, these rogues were threats of truly epic proportion.
Born and bred in cultures that led to their rise to supreme authority over their peoples, Mongul and Zanadu were vicious, vindictive, villainous. Each attracted the attention of the Maids of Might who sought to challenge their unbridled egos.
Alongside the Justice League and Society, Supergirl and Power Girl faced off against these fearsome fiends, with Supergirl outmatched by Mongul as was Power Girl by Zanadu.

Mongul originates from an unidentified world where he was supreme ruler... until he wasn't when his own people usurped his power. Exiled in space, he ascertained the means by which he could gain vengeance on his former subjects and subjugate the universe, by stealing the Warworld. To that the new, he journeyed to Mar-II to claim the key to activating, manipulating Superman into battling his former fellow Justice Leaguer J'Onn J'onzz for that device which he had been entrusted with. Once he possessed this, Mongul activated Warworld, while opposed by Superman and his cousin Supergirl who defeated him. However, Mongul would return to oppose these cousins and the Justice League.
Zanadu was an ancient Chaos lord of Lemuria in the lost land of Mu. Encased in amber for eons, he was revived in the 20th century when archaeologists Carter and Sheira Hall located him and other buried treasures. This led to Zanadu attempting to mentally enslave the residents of Tokyo, Japan. He would be opposed by members of the Justice Society including cousins Superman and Power Girl. With the aid of Doctor Fate, Zanadu would ultimately be defeated and re-incased in amber.
While Mongul's people from his home world have ever appeared, given his exiled status, there is evidence that Zanadu's people still exist below the waves of the ocean. Although stating he was the sole survivor of ancient Lemuria, in 1941 the Red Torpedo encountered the malevolent King of Caverns who led an army of creatures like himself. These beings had a similar appearance to that of Zanadu, hence either this civilization was wiped from existence by the time he reappeared decades later, or he was unaware they survived following his own imprisonment within his amber cage. These yellow-skinned Lemurians had a drastically different appearance to that of the blue-skinned Lemurians who the Atom, Aquaman and Captain Comet encountered at the same time on Earth-One.
