While not a Flash-Flash teamup in the traditional sense, nevertheless when Vandal Savage reappeared a third time to torment the Scarlet Speedster of Earth-One, his counterpart Flash on Earth-Two was still involved. Although in this case, as a consultant rather than an active participant. When Savage's attempt to revitalize his immortality backfired, he was sent from his native world to Earth-One, where he continued to seek a remedy to his aging condition. In order to do this, he needed not only Flash's superspeed energy but that of Green Lantern's power ring, hence Vandal lured the pair of Justice Leaguers to the locale where he had trapped their girlfriends... within a flaming ball like that which gave him indefinite life centuries earlier. However, the Leaguers defeated Vandal while locating only one of their ladies, Carrol Ferris. Where was Iris, Barry... and the rest of us... then asked?
In fact, the culprit behind Iris' disappearence was Jay Garrick, who brought her back to Earth-Two. But why would he do this to his fellow Flash? As it so happened, Iris had been filled with a form of energy that negatively interacted with Barry-Flash's aura by the Reverse-Flash aka Professor Zoom, which would be deterimental not only for the two mates but their world and reality. Thankfully, Jay-Flash's ally Doctor Fate realized this (actually, Zoom had implanted this knowledge in him) and together they decided to bring Iris back to their Earth in hopes of curing her. While seeking a cure, the Doctor made it appear that another woman was Iris in order to keep Barry-Flash busy. The Justice Socialites would prove unsuccessful in reversing Iris' conditiion, given Zoom's futuristic science, and so sent her to a future era of Earth-One's 30th century. That time period is where Iris was originally from, sent back to the 20th century by her parents after her birth, and the powerful pair felt that this was her best chance at finding a cure given her time was five centuries after that of Zoom's. Would they finally discover the answer before it was to late for Allens? We will see...
