While they may have met off-panel prior to this case, it was while battling A-Ryn the alien and his psychotic caretakers Solomon Grundy that the Hawkmen finally got to teamup Hawkmano-y-Hawkmano. And boy, was it a flop, judging by how quickly they were dispatched by both baddies. The older seasoned Carter Hall had decades of experience to impart to the younger Katar Hol, and still they both fell prey to misjudging Grundy's basic attacks of smash and more smash. Then, while seemingly cornering A-Ryn, they instead fell before the lad when the alien exerted his willpower on the stolen ring of Alan "Green Lantern" Scott. Earth-Two's Hawkmen had the added attribute as a leader, which he was throughout most of the Justice Society's history... his Earth-One counterpart was himself a law enforcement official on his native Thanagar which gave him an authority figure attitude much like his twin's background as a former prince. It would have been fascinating had these two met, along with their wives the Hawkgirls, on a separate case. Perhaps that occured in some future, as yet undocumented case, which will unfold at a later date. Regardless, there is one additional commonality between the Feathered Furies, something rather annoying to twin avian acrobats...
