Within a short period of time, twin threats personifying the ultimate representation feminine "perfection" became a sore spot in the side of superheroes on twin worlds. On Earth-One, the "Fiend with Five Faces" nearly conquered that planet before the Justice League turned the tides on the ancient adversaries, as did the Justice Society versus the Four Kings from eons ago. And yet, one among the number of Fiends...Mauri... escaped the League and with her enchanting allure enlisted a private army of minions to attack her superheroic adversaries, attempting to eliminate this threat. On Earth-Two, Mauri's cosmic twin Osira similarly awoke from a long slumber and as like that sinister siren Osira used her own allure to enlist armies of males as well. In both cases, the Wonder Women ended up battling these lethal ladies and the Amazing Amazons' own teammates now doing their foes' bidding. Both women were heartsick to lose the ones they most held dear, for Mauri this was her fellow four kings and for Osira it was her mate from centuries past, Hefnakhti.
Shortly after Mauri and Osira reappeared among humanity after thousands of years of sleep, these femme fatales had ensnared the Greatest Heroes of their new worlds and sent them out to attack the Wonder Women. On Earth-One, Princess Diana had the aid of her allies Black Canary and Supergirl, though neither existed as yet on Earth-Two to aid their Diana. Nevertheless, but Maidens of Might dealt with the terrible triads of Batman, Elongated Man and Aquaman as well as Mister Terrific, the Atom and Starman. As for Mauri, after she was defeated she was imprisoned alongside the other four fiends from of old, while Osira left her new world behind realizing without the now deceased she could no longer find peace as a ruler.
As for Hefnakhti's counterpart, this would've been the arch-fiend known as Thaumar Dhai, a former Atlantean from the ancient civilization who escaped its catastrophic end when it was submerged into the sea, and utilized his vast powers to attempt conquests in various other lands in the centuries that followed. However, he lost all his power and only returned in the modern day thanks the machinations of a group of supervillains who combated Earth-One's Superman and members of the Global Guardians. Just as Dhai was an old adversary of Africa's Doctor Mist, so to was Thaumar an old foe of an African ancient although not Mist's counterpart, Nabu aka Doctor Fate. Both Thaumar and Hefnakhti found that they're brief careers in the 20th century would be stymied by failure, thus coming to the realization that might doesn't make right.
While there was no Global Guardians on Earth-Two, the Justice Society on that world protects foreign and local threats given the presence of the Axis Powers when Hefnakhti and Osira first reappeared in the 1940's, and would no doubt inspire those that bore the name of the Immortal Man to be like their Earth-One counterparts in various lands as Guardians of their fellow man.
