Percy Bratten was the son of a prominent stockholder of the Daily Planet, and sought a position within that newspaper as an aspiring journalist. This led to several misadventures he had while accompanying his coworker Meg Tempest as they became involved in various stories of hat the coworker Jimmy Olsen was pursuing. Another fellow employee of his was Clark Kent aka the Superman of Earth-One.
Clarence Pierce was the son of a single mom and aspiring student at the same high school that Dick Grayson had attended. Seeking the life of an adventurer like that of his hero, Robin, Pierce adopted the alter ego of Wire Boy, equipped with his own gadgets comparable to that of the Boy Wonder. However, despite his inventiveness and physicality, Pierce was not adept towards being a teenage titan, and as such caused Robin some headaches until the two lads joined forces to defeat the criminal they had both pursued. After this, Clarence retired his alter ego.
