Granny Goodness was a fixture in planet Apokolips politics, and fanatically loyal to her lord and world's leader, Darkseid. As headmistress overseeing various orphanages under his domain, Darkseid tasked Granny with guiding the development of young boys and girl residing in these into becoming adept soldiers. Among the most prominent of her charges was Scott Free, displaced son of Izaya, the Highfather and ruler of neighboring New Genesis. While training in one Apokolip orphanage, Free met fellow orphan Big Barda, leader of the Female Furies. Escaping together, the pair fell in love, which incensed Granny and motivated her into multiple attempt to capture the new couple... now on Earth-One.
Madam Brawn never had an opportunity to meet the Wonder Woman of Earth-Two, as she first encountered her heroine's All-Star Squadron teammate, Plastic Man. While training a school of female ex-cons, conditioning them to be a gang with the ability to challenge their male rivals in the Windy City, Brawn's plan to take over crime in that metropolis is thwarted by Plastic Man. Working under cover using his past knowledge as a former criminal himself, Plas was able to bring both Brawn and her broads to heel. Despite letting her go if she repented of her evil ways, Brawn returned to seek revenge on Plastic Man. During their second battle, the Madam accidentally perished, with her crime school caboot.
However, the Earth-Two Wonder Woman did encounter Madam Brawn's counterpart, Granny Goodness, when she and her Justice Society allies along with the Jsutice League were brought to New Genesis. There, they helped liberate the New Genesisans from the oppression of Granny and her lord, Darkseid... vanquishing them and their Apokolips army.
