Primus was born Pren of the noble family from the planet Euphroix, developing telepathic and telekinetic abilities. As a potential future king, Pren trained alongside the Warlords of Okaara in the Vegan star system. Once a young adult, Primus rebelled against his world’s alien masters, the Citadel.
Henry King Junior was named after his famous father, Doctor Henry King, a renowned psychologist turned supervillain. As the original Brain Wave, Henry Senior used his mutant abilities of illusion casting and Brain blasts in a series of battles versus the Justice Society of America. After decades of defeat, leading to incarceration for long periods of time, King was separated from his son.
Taking inspiration from the name Primus, Pren led a group of fellow rebels from various Vegan worlds know as the Omega Men*. For a time, they took refuge on Earth-One, where they met the Green Lantern named Hal Jordan, the New Teen Titans and Superman. After a series of adventures, they realized they were needed back in the Vegan system. Eventually, they returned there to free its oppressed worlds from the Citadel, and later the insidious Spider-Guild.
Henry Junior had himself developed telepathic and telekinetic abilities, and used these as a founding member of Infinty, Inc. Allied with the children and heirs of Earth-Two's greatest superheroes, King and his new friends brought about the defeat of Ultra-Humanite and his Secret Society of Supervillians, including Brain Wave. Brainwave Junior and his teammates aided Green Lantern, Superman and the All-Star Squadron, both in the past and the present.
Prem formed a romantic bond with alien queen Kalista of Euphroix. Yet despite both being part of the Omega Men, their conflicting duties led to them spending periods of time apart, causing strain on their union.
Henry formed a romantic bond with fellow Infinitor Jennie Lynn "Jade" Hayden, at least for a brief period. However, the after effects of a mind-meld with his dying father led to Henry gradually losing his sanity, ending his relationship with Jennie
Henry Junior never met the Earth-Two counterpart to Kalista. His girlfriend Jennie's doppleganger was the Green Lantern of Space Sector 2815, and a frequent partner to Earth-One's Hal Jordan.
Just as Kalista experience tragedy with her parent's death, which led to her reigning as her world's sovereign, so too had the woman who became known as Miss Fear experienced loss. The daughter of a slain leader from a central Asian country, Fear used her considerable skills to promote dread within her opponents, psychologically unnerving them. She carried an affection for the aviator known as Blackhawk, which he did not recipriocate during their multiple encounters during the mid to late 1940s.
Kalista likewise had the power to project fear in her foes through illusions, although she radiated love for Pren throughout the years. Her power was similars to Jade’s twin brother Todd “Obsidian” Rice.
* The Omega Men's counterparts remained secluded below the surface of Earth-Two, as the Sub-Men, who eventually became pawns used by the Ultra-Humanite against Brain Wave Junior and the All-Star Squadron.
