While Green Kryptonite was the deadliest is the radioactive remains from the former planet Krypton, which could kill natives of that world, it was the only dangerous variant in the universe. The second most common was Red Kryptonite, which caused a variety of effects when exposed to Kryptonians. These random mutations, which lasted for 48 hours, often had adverse effects on Superman and his cousin Supeegirl. In fact, on one occasion it caused her to give birth to a clone of herself, one desperate to cling onto life beyond the two-days the scarlet stone from space granted her on Earth-One.
Although there was Red Kryptonite in the Earth-Two universe, it didn’t have the same effect on that reality’s Superman and his cousin Power Girl. However, another red rock known as the Powerstone proved deadly to Superman, when it in the possession of his foes Alexei Luthor and the Ultra-Humanite.
The clone created by Red Kryptonite disguised herself under the masked identity of Satan Girl, and used a device to siphon the ruby radiation from her body and transfer it onto the bodies of the female members in the 30th century Legion of Super-Heroes. Despite their superior numbers, the male Legionnaires along with Supergirl were unable to retain her twin Satan Girl and revitalized their female colleagues. Only the timely intervention of the Legion of Super-Pets helped save the day for the Legionnaires, while Supergirl's corrupt clone merged back into her body.

Despite appearances to the contrary, Satan Girl was alive and well as Nightflame, back in the 20th century where she was shunted to the pocket dimension of the Innerverse. As it started to collapse, Nightflame sought to steal the life of the woman she was cloned from, and nearly defeated Supergirl. Yet during their battle, the heroine gained the upper hand and seemingly sent her evil doppelgänger to her doom.Ultra-Humanite found defeat when the All-Stars’ superior numbers proved overwhelming against Ultra and the Secret Society of Super-Villains. During a final battle, the anti-hero Cyclotron seemingly slayed the Powerstone empowered Dolores Winters along with Ultra’s brain. But again, appearances would be deceiving.
The woman formerly known as Satan Girl and Nightflame soon after her disappearance materialized on Earth-One. Seeking to atone for her problematic past, she redesigned her first costume into the one she’d ware as the Black Orchid. Using her Kryptonian powers, although she herself was born on Earth, she would use the acting skills she learned from her template… the original Supergirl aka Linda Danvers… to assume various identities such as Paula Porter and Matilda Moocock. She would devise different origin tales for how she began her costumed career, no doubt to cover over the shame from her past. Through all this, she would be driven and determined to expose and eliminate evil from across Earth-One.
The woman formerly known as Dolores Winters would return years later, assuming a variety of identities beginning with Hattie Laurman. Winters as the Ultra-Humanite would repeatedly engage in battle with Superman, seeking to eliminate this foe while gaining ultimate power despite no longer having the Powerstone. Often coming close yet always failing to unleash ultimate evil upon Earth-Two.
