These days there is innumerable teams of superheroes occupying the Multiverse of DC and other publishers. However, in the beginning, there was the Justice Society of America, upon whom all other groovy groups have been derived from. Initially comprised of eight allies meeting to compare notes on cases, with two other World's Finest friends unable to attend these gatherings. Soon, this social club became a meeting point to address mutual quandries, and still later true teamwork developed when a constant core of seven supermen and women faced a united threat.
When revived for a modern age, the more set seven was shaken up, with various combinations and numbers of members on any given case changing. Then, after this team portrait was taken, another generation of successors stepped into the limelight to assume the mantles left behind by their forebearer. Throughout all these various changes, critical elements were in evidence that other teams adopted at their own formation. Ingredients such as lending a hand when your teammate is at their most vulnerable, helping one another to cultivate individual strengths, using minds more than muscle to solve problems, and showing that good always triumphants over evil.
