Furious Fiery Femme Fatales Face Fabulous Females

Zora Vi-Lar was a brilliant scientist in the bottled city of Kandor who was also a friend and follower of the criminal Lesla-Lar while both they and their city resided on Earth-One. Zara was also a genius technologist of Arabian background who was a member of cult she founded, originally in Africa when she battled Tod Hunter.

Zora as Black Flame and Zara as Crimson Flame found themselves adversaries of Supergirl and Wonder Woman, respectively. After failed attempts on their own versus their female foes, they would later return for revenge. Zora would ally herself with escaped Phantom Zone prisoners. Zara worked alongside escapees of the Amazonans' Reformation Island as a member of Villany Inc.

After further defeats, both women later reformed in Kandor and Reformation Island. Although Zora still nursed a grudge towards Kara “Supergirl” Zor-El and sought to keep her on the new Kryptonian world of Rokyn… trapped powerless under a red sun. These schemes, as previous ones, proved fruitless.
