On Earth-One, Montgomery “Monty” Moran aka the Getaway King (or Mastermind) was an inventive genius who engineered escapes for felons, until his plans were unseated by an invisible Martian Manhunter. Following his incarceration, Moran and five other foes of the Justice League escaped prison and hatched a crime wave that was unsuccessful due to the debut of another criminal named Doctor Destiny. After this decisive defeat versus the League, Monty apparently retired.
On Earth-Two, Mortimer “Doc” Wackey was an amateur criminal mastermind. Despite employing various technologically innovative gadgets in his crime wave, Wackey was outmaneuvered by the masked manhunter Dave “Midnight” Clark. After having an extensive conversation with his former foe on morality, Doc Wackey repented of his wicked ways and joined Midnight in his never-ending battle for justice instead.
There was also the Getaway Genius, Roy Reynolds, who operated contemporaneous to the Getaway Mastermind. Reynolds was a renowned robber who ascertained the secret to success versus Earth-One's Dynamic Duo. Instead of trying to slay them, as other villains had attempted doing for years, he would simply outwit them by escaping their grasp. To that end, as the Getaway Genius, Reynolds had a series of confrontations with Batman and Robin, and while he alone would've been successful, sadly those he worked with did not believe in his methods, which led to his capture repeatedly.
Then there was the formerly well regarded newsman Scoop Scanlon, who had several tales as an Action Ace recorded in the 1930's before he worked for Gotham City's Vue magazine. Having fallen on hard times, he felt that his way back to prominence was in proving that Bruce Wayne was Batman, as he suspected. However, Batman and Robin tricked Scanlon into doubting this premise, and he gave up his pursuit.
