A common denominator between the Hawkmen of parallel planets is their propensity to face similar adversaries. Case in point, when alongside their parttners the Hawkgirls Katar "Hawkman" Hall of Earth-One faced Shrike and Carter "Hawkman" Hall of Earth-Two faced Trata.
Shrike was an orphan from the planet Thoron named Toron Tos, who had been the prince of planet Moronon. Raised by a local Yucatan Indian tribe, he was thought to be an avenging mythological character with his wings and control of weather distortions. Sent to strike out for an international crime spree to steal back artifacts of his adopted people, he came into conflict with the Winged Wonders of Earth-One, who convinced him of his true origin and helped restore him to his native world and authority.
Trata was an ambitious resident of the hidden city of Feithera, who employed a few explorers from humanity to unseat the city's current ruler Worla. This brought him into conflict with the Winged Wonder of Earth-Two who defeated the amoral avian who otherwise could match Hawkman with his own wings in addition to a balance distorting Globlass gun. Trata ended up losing his bid for power, gaining imprisonment instead as the fruit of his ill-begotten endeavors.
