Queens of Atlantis... flame-haired... adorned in tiaras and scaly green blouses... attached to blonde royalty. Meet Mera of Earth-One and Eeras of Earth-Two. Mera was from another dimension on a world completely submerged in water.
Mera was an exiled queen formerly of Dimension Aqua. Eeras was the sovereign of Atlantis. While Mera was assimilated into Atlantean culture thanks to her future husband's kingship, Eeras was a native-born Atlantean, descendant of Queen Atlantea of pre-deluge Atlantis.
Both Mera and Eeras were benevolent and came to eventually rule as queens of Poseidonis and Venturia, respectively, while always attempting to peacefully coexist with their neighboring Atlantean cities of Tritonis and Aurania. Mera married Arthur "Aquaman" Curry soon after meeting him, upon which they were crowned King and Queen of Poseidonis. Eeras was never recorded as having met Earth-Two's Aquaman, who steered clear of the continent as it wasn't fully submerged within the sea as was its doppleganger on Earth-One.
However, Eeras did have a mate as she gave birth to a daughter named Octavia, as had Mera to a son named Arthur Jr although this son was slain by Aquaman's adversary Black Manta. Octavia nearly lost her own life at the hands of rival Queen Clea.
Mera possessed superhuman physique adapted to underwater living and psuonic control of water, while Eeras relied on war-implements to exercise her will.
While Mera had a vicious identical twin sister named Hila who attempted to impersonate her on occasion, Clea's lookalike daughter Ptra tried to help her mother in her sinister scheme to dethrone Euras.
Both women were separated from kingdoms for a period of time when they met heroes from the surface world, showing their adaptability in all environments and proving themselves true heroines.
Although Mera would have a loving marriage, the loss of their Son Arthur Jr. caused strain from some time between she and her husband. Despite reconciling, she and her husband would leave their rulership to near the humans of the surface. Eeras would retire shortly after her reign and Queen Paralea, would rule over Atlantis six years after their land first became known to surface dwellers.
