Chaim Lavon was an Israeli school teacher who came upon several ancient artifacts which empowered him with superhuman strength, invulnerability, teleportation and other ill-defined abilities. He was inspired by the heroic examples of four legendary figures of past centuries. After a few solo adventures, Lavon was recruited into Earth-One's Guardians of the Globe.
Marcus was a shepherd boy who was framed for a crime and ended up being a famed warrior of ancient Rome. Known as the Golden Gladiator, it was later revealed that his superhuman strength and other innate abilities. He would later join heros from around the world of modern day Earth-Two aiding the All-Star Squadron.
Flying Stag was a young warrior who while in the midst of a competition of the new chief of his tribe, he came upon a glowing meteorite which imbued him with superhuman strength, superspeed, flight and other abilities. Adopting the alter ego of Saganowhana, or Super-Chief in modern English, he carved a new for himself in ancient history along with other legendary figures of old. He would eventually be brought to the 20th century to aid other historic heroes on Earth-Two during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
