The Little Mermaid was a mutant in her native Atlantis, able to transform her legs into mermaid fins allowing her to fly. Sharketta and her sisters were mutated sharks transformed into human hybrids, created by child protegee Gerta Von Gunther, who gained similar abilities.
While the Mermaid was the heroine of the Denmark on Earth-One, She was later recruited by Doctor Mist in the Global Guardians, working alongside various superheroes such as Superman.
Sharketta was a model citizen of the Paradise on Earth-Two after she reformed of her evil ways, after a brief battle with Wonder Woman. What became of her following her stay on Reform Island is unknown.
