Our two Aces in the hole, so to speak, are so well hidden in the deck of characters DC Comics has in their hand that they've seldom resurfaced. In fact, Ace of Space and Ultra the Multi-Alien were mainly products of the golden and silver ages, respectively. There isn't even a conformation on which Earth they resided on during their brief span of adventures.
However, since Ace Egan, the adventuring pilot stumbling upon an alien's ship, was published by Quality Comics under the moniker Ace of Space...and Ace Arn, another adventuring pilot who stumbled upon four alien criminals, was published under the alias of Ultra...we'll assign them to Earths Two and One. After all, most golden age heroes resided in the former while the majority of silver age champions existed in the latter.
In any event, the parallels are astounding. Beyond the common first name and occupation, each Ace encountered extra-terrestrials through whom the gained superhuman abilities. For Ultra it was super-strength, invulnerability, magnetism, flight and energy projection. For Ace of Space it was body mass growth and invisibility. Neither stuck around long...
