Blonde bombshells, literally as well as metaphorically, encountered members of the League and Society of Justice throughout the years. And each femme fatale had aspirations of greed tempered only by familial attachment to their children.
Atlanna was a member of the royal family of ancient Atlantis, of Earth-One who survived into the modern era and became an exile from her land. Taken in by lighthouse keeper Tom Curry, the pair spawned a child named Arthur who would become Aquaman. Then she seemingly perished, only she actually was in a catatonic state until the immortality serum taken centuries before had revived her.
Now maddened, she schemed with Orm Curry, the Ocean Master, who was the son of Tom's second wife.

Clea was herself the queen of the submerged kingdom of Venturia in the Atlantis on Earth-Two, who sought to conquer the rival land of Aurania. She ended up attacking the attention of Wonder Woman, who soon defeated her leading to a bitter rivalry between the two women for decades to come. Clea's daughter Ptra followed in her mother's footsteps until she also was handed a loss at the hands of the amazing amazon, with both mother and daughter taken to Reformation Island by their foe for Amazonian conditioning to rid themselves of their evil tendencies.
While Atlanna created an android to house the memories of Tom Curry in the form of Poseidon and allied him with android duplicates of Aquaman's rogues gallery, Clea joined fellow Wonder Woman foes to form Villany Inc. then returned decades later to join King Kull's criminal horde of supervillains on three Earths. Clea was once more humbled, while Atlanna realized the madness that gripped her and attempted to redeem herself in one last dying act.
*The Aquaman of Earth-Two had an unnamed mother, whom we hypothesize was the counterpart of Ocean Master's unnamed mother and Earth-One Aquaman's step-mother.
