Fantastic Foursomes Face Fierce Foes Fearlessly

Colonel Rick Flag was tasked with creating a force to deal with unique threats to Earth-One prior to the existence of the Justice League of America. Recruiting Doctor Karin Grace, Doctor Hugh Evans and Jess Bright, the quartet used their specialists to combat a variety of alien invasions and mutated monsters as Task Force X which was also known as Suicide Squad. After several adventures, the Squad disbanded with only Flag returning as part of the Forgotten Heroes several years later.

Meanwhile, in the golden age there was the team known as Red, White and Blue of Earth-Two. There was Marine Sergeant Red Dugan, Army officer Whitey Smith, Navy sailor Blooey Blue, and their leader Doris West. These three specialists coordinated by West were assigned to troubleshooting tasks both together and, as World War II developed, separately. Despite sometimes being on opposite sides of the world, these teammates and friends always kept in touch as to each other's colorful exploits.
