Sinister Professors Versus Detectives

Detective Comics has not only presented memorable heroes, but also its share of villains.

These Professors are no exception. Professor Arnold Hugo and Professor Gurn were two not content to contribute their intellects to mankind's well being. Instead, they used it for crime.

Using a brain stimulator, Hugo's skull increase along with his knowledge, at which point he employed robots and attempted to gain physical strength to battle Batman and then the Martian Manhunter. Not a match for either.

Gurn used a radio jamming device to attempt to thwart his foe Air Wave, and when that didn't work he created an invincible robotic suit of armor to battle the hero. Although coming close the second time to defeating his foe, Gurn's ego got in the way yet again.
