Think things were always smooth between Huntress and Robin? Guess you'd have to qualify which Robin, precisely.
Interestingly, Earth-Two's Huntress first met the Robin of Earth-One while on a trip to that parallel world to get tips on being a heroine. Seeking out her father's counterpart, she runs into a teenage Dick Grayson not to fond of a "little lady" breaking into his mentor's secret sanctum.
Shortly thereafter, back on her own world she meets the Richard Grayson she is more familiar with, an older version who substitutes as her step-brother, twenty-something years her senior. This Robin is more calm, cool and collected which belies his age and experience. Plus his intuition as he knows who this mystery woman really is, Helena Wayne. Of course, years later under the influence of the Stream of Ruthlessness, as we've previously discussed, Robin and Huntress did have it out... and he handed him his lunch though not as easily as young Richard.
While sparks would fly yet never amount to anything between these two, something similar happened with Huntress' cosmic twin Batgirl and the Boy Wonder. Sure both Robins and their gal pals would make Dynamic Duos of their own, but never harmonize in their true feelings for one another.
