On three parallel planets possessing a plethera of powerful protectors, perhaps none can surpass this trio in terms of indominable will power manifested through their marvelous machines of matter manipulation. The Green Lanterns of Earths One and Two, Hal Jordan and Alan Scott, first met their counterpart Prince Amentep aka Ibis the Invincible of Earth-S when all three aided their teams of Justice to defend the Multiverse against King Kull the Beastman and his army of evil. And on this occasion, Hal and Alan quickly learned to respect their elder peer whose creativity wielding of the Ibistick was matched by his courage and cunning. Still, there are far more similarities between Ibis and the Lanterns, as we shall see.
- Each received their items of power from ancient sources and wise old mentors.
- The Ibistick, like power rings, can compose matter from energy in various forms
- Additionally, the Lantern's rings and Ibis' stick allowed their owners to fly
- Like Scott, Ibis was clad in a cape with a shirt and pants in his heroic identity
- Like Jordan, Ibis loved a princess... Taia instead of Carol Ferris, Star Sapphire
- As with Scott, Ibis operated solo in weilding such objects of power in his universe
- As with Jordan, Ibis was a frequent ally of his world's ace archer, Golden Arrow
- As with his Green allies, Ibis was a member of his world's Justice organization
- While operating in the 1940's like Alan, he was still young in modern times
- Ibis and Taia eventually married as had Alan and Molly (Harlequin) Maynne
- The Ibistick could be controlled by others individuals unlike the power rings
- There was no need to recharge the Ibistick unlike the ring of Green Lantern
- The Lantern's lanterns were true sources of power like the Ibistick, not the rings they wore
- Amentep was prince, Hal and Alan's buddy Doiby was only a princess' consorts
- On Earth-One the Ibistick laid dormant, until it was discovered by Black Adam and claimed by Supergirl in battle
- On Earth-Two, the Ibistick laid dormant, until it was uncovered by Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt and given to Lois Lane
