Indeed the world known as Earth-S was known for a great many things. Its quirky heroes, its bizarre physics, its endearing characters, its dispicable deviants its marvelous families. But one thing it was not known fori was its teams of superheroes. Aside from Captain Marvel and his immediate clan, who themselves had long prosperous careers curtailing the cunning cutthroat criminals of their day, no other band of costumed crusaders joined forces to battle evil. That is unless you count the "galaxy of fighters" known as the Crime Crusaders Club. If by galaxy it was meant a fantastic foursome, than this was it. Apparently having banned together to exchange tales of their solo adventures with one another, once they joined forces to aid Minute Man. It was a group similar to Earth-Two's All-Star Squadron, a true galaxy of heroes!
In order to obtain money from crooks to pay for government bonds, which was his pet project of the day, Minute Man staged an event where all criminals present could attempt to assassinate him if they paid for entrance into the event and paid for the guns and bullets. After a merry chase across carnival grounds and vast landscape, the masked Jack Weston led the felons into a trap, after himself being aided behind the scenes by teammates Bulletman, Bulletgirl and Captain Marvel Junior. One additional account had it that Mister Scarlet subbed for Junior, which would've also included his sidekick Pinky in the action. And then... nothing more... for soon thereafter Minute Man would himself retire. Although the latter three would join forces once more in modern times under the banner of the Squadron of Justice, Jack would himself only come out of retirement once more to aid Captain Marvel against some femme fatales.
