A remarkable parallel between Earth-S and Earth-Two occured during the golden age of comics, which allowed these timeless heroes to bridge the gap into the silver and bronze age of comics near seemlessly. While a normal human, even a powerful one, would age over a period of twenty or thirty years, such was not the case with the assembled Squadron of Justice and Justice Society of America when the machinations of bald bad-guys caused their adversaries to remain youthful throughout the intervening years between appearances.Doctor Sivana and Ian Karkull, utilizing Suspendium and a shadow-device respectively, thought they had the means to remove any threats to their goal of world domination. Instead, each man ended up trapped within these perversions of science which proved to be their undoing. While Karkull's remnants bathed the JSA in energy that allowed them to live for decades while remaining young and active, Sivana's mysterious element froze Captain Marvel and his Family along with their friends in a mass of Suspendium orbiting the solar system for decades. However, shortly after the Squadron was released from their captivity in the early 1970s, they would meet their counterparts in a titantic teamup that removed the threat of King Kull's criminal capers across the cosmos.
