Darknight Detectives Meet Maidens of Might

The bond between the Superman and Batman Families has a long and storied tradition. While typically depicted as teamups of the World's Finest Team themselves, sometimes with Robin assisting them, or with the World's Finest Females of Supergirl/Power Girl and Batgirl/Huntress, on occasion the guys met the gals attempting the emulate their best friend's example. When Batman teamed up with Supergirl, it was to save her step-father Fred Danvers... while when the former Batman turned CommissionerWayne encountered Power Girl it was after she had been saved by her stepfather Superman. 

Villains Colonel Sulpher and Psycho-Pirate staged an elaborate web hoping to obtain limitless power, yet both were taken down by their heroic adversaries. And respect was earned with both the Darknight Detectives and the Maidens of Might, each of whom seemed to mirror an aspect of each other’s counterpart. For while the Earth-One Batman and Earth-Two Power Girl worked well with groups and integral members of their Worlds’ Greatest Superhero teams, the Earth-Two Batman and Earth-One Supergirl were more loners only working occasional with their planets’ prime protectors in the Justice Society and Justice League. However, in their younger years, these two were more active in the All-Star Squadron (for the golden age Batman) and the Legion of Super-Heroes (for Supergirl).
