For our fifth all-Flash tale*, we first need to consider what was transpiring in the life of Barry Allen, the Flash of Earth-One. He recently married his long time sweetheart, Iris, yet still withheld his secret identity in order to protect her. However, when his counterpart's wife, Joan, hears this she protests to her husband Jay Garrick... considering she knew his secret since the very beginning and was still safe. So, under her suggestion, the couple travel from Earth-Two to visit the Allens, only to find that Barry is missing. His nephew Wally West aka Kid Flash fills in Jay on the circumstances of his uncle's mysterious disappearance, as they both were combatting a gang of foes and then the Flash suddenly disappeared in a burst of light. Where did he go? Who was behind his disappearence? Why was he taken? Could his friends find their fellow Flash before it was too late? These questions found answers after Kid Flash and Jay-Flash vanished from Earth-One, arriving on planet Vorvan.
The planet of Vorvan was occupied by primate life forms, except for one individual born different who named himself the "Golden Man" after his skin color. Possessed of vast mental powers and intellect, he designed a city but sought to advance his people to his level to avert his deep loneliness. Bringing the Scarlet Speedsters to Vorvan, Golden Man pretended to use them for prey in a game when in actuality he was harnessing their superspeed energy to help power a device that would enable him to achieve his ends. Instead, when all three Flashs confronted him and then overpowered him, his device backfired and made him like the others on his world. Although losing his intellect, he gained his humanity and was no longer alone. As for Barry, Wally and Jay, they traveled back to Earth-One to rejoin the wives of the Fastest Men on two Earths. After planting the suggestion with Barry to reveal his identity to Iris at their first anniversary, Jay and Joan returned to Earth-Two, leaving behind a starstruck Wally who thoroughly enjoyed his adventure alongside the pair.
