Fringe dissects the Multiverse from a televised, rather than comics-based, perspective. Two parallel planets, with parallel people such as Olivia Dunham and Walter Bishop, as well a Peter Bishop from another Earth brought to Walter's own when the scientist couldn't save his own Peter. And it was when the younger Bishop traveled back to his native world that he discovered a duplicate Multiverse with his comics. Only in this fictional landscape, significant scenes were reversed. For instance, during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was a Supergirl who held the lifeless body of her cousin Superman, instead of the other way around. And looking on was the Mantis, Batman's doppleganger in Peter's comics as a kid (although the emblem on his chest doesn't looks more like a bat than a mantis).
