Dick Grayson will always be linked with Batman as the Dark Knight's sidekick, but although this was his first and most well known protegee, it wasn't the last one. Other young men over time would take become sidekicks of the Batmen of Earths One and Two, even becoming Robins like the original.
Jason was the son of Joseph and Trini Todd, star acrobats from Hill Circus. When they accidentally discovered Batman of Earth-One's alter ego, they volunteered to aid him and Robin in exposing Killer Croc for his extortion of protection money from the Circus. When the couple perished at the hand of Croc, their son swore vengeance, leading to Bruce Wayne adopting Jason .
Eventually, after creating a patchwork of the Boy Wonder's spandex suit. Although initially opposed to Jason engaging in a costumed career, Bruce saw the same potential in Jason that he had seen years earlier in Dick. Both had been trained in circus life to be adept acrobats, and had natural skills that could be groomed towards a crimefighting career, and so Batman allowed Todd to accompany him on some preliminary cases. Initally, Jason offered a variety of alter egos as the Gotham Guardian's new sidekick, such as Flying Ace, Bluejay, Cardinal, Eagle and Domino.

Maharaja Shundu was on a visit to America when he became an eye-witness to an armed robbery, then saw the Earth-Two Robin in action capturing the crooks. Inspired by the Boy Wonder, the wealthy Shundu invited Robin to come visit him in India during the summer in order to train him, as there were lawless thugs in his country as well. The Boy Wonder agreed to this, and his journey overseas to visit a foreign ruler undoubtedly would later inspire his alter ego of Dick Grayson to pursue a career path as a diplomat and ambassador, which he would become in South Africa decades later.
After extensive training for an unspecified amount of time in dueling and deduction, acrobats and agility, Shundu adopted the alter ego of Rajah Rahbin, and tried to bring down the evil Thuggee cult on his own on a couple of occasions.
Interestingly, while Rajah Rahbin was the second Robin of Earth-Two, he was not the counterpart of Earth-One's second Robin, Jason Todd. The identity of Jason's doppleganger, this was a lad from Holland named Jan Haasan, an orphan who met the Atom, a Justice Society teammate of Batman. This inspired Jan to join several other orphans under the tutelage of Captain Rip Carter as the Boy Commandos during World War II.
As for the cosmic twin of Rajah, this was unfortunately a one-time foe of the original Earth-One Robin and his mentor Batman. On this occasion, as Bruce Wayne kissed his new girlfriend Mona goodbye as she flew off to Hollywood California to begin a career in entertainment, tragedy struck! A trained flock of birds attacked the airplane of which she was a passenger, that led to its crash. As the Dynamic Duo saved the pilot and most of the other passengers onboard, the former Miss U.S.A. was found dead. Bruce and Dick once more lost a loved one.
The man behind this and other avian attacks on various vessels was the Birdmaster, a vicious crimelord operating out of a Himalayan citadel. Seeking sport with those of other countries, he launched a concerted attack on numerous planes, including Mona's. Piloting their Batplane, the Caped Crusaders were led by Birdmaster's trained flocks to its secret headquarters. After being overwhelmed by his bird-cloaked henchmen, the Gotham City Guardians found themselves caged, which they quickly escaped. Fleeing Batman and Robin in his own plan as he saw his minions fall at their flaying fishs, Birdmaster became the final victim to his bird which shredded his aircraft to pieces.
Having seen the fruits of labor as to his training of the young Maharaja proved successful, Robin left India under the protection of Rajah Rahbin, with a promise that he would come visit the prince later to followup on any further training that may be needed. That adventure has yet to be chronicled.
