Edward Thayer: Two Tales of a Good and Greedy Gadgeteers

E. Thayer is an example of how a man and the choices he makes determines whether he will become good or evil.

On Earth-One, Edward Thayer was an inventor and friend of Ray "Atom" Palmer who created an illusion maker. This device was used by an alleged assistant, until Atom brought that culprit to justice and helped save Ed. Thayer would assist him on a later case.

On Earth-Two, Edward Thayer was an inventor who devised the means of projecting a phantom hand to do his evil deeds for him, including attacking his brother Elwin. When Edward had himself died, it was that hand that assisted Hawkman in capturing the woman who betrayed him.
