Originally, a young scientist of 30th century Earth-One named Lyle Norg developed an invisibility serum which when ingested gave him the power of closing his body. As Invisibile Kid, he was a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes until he perished at the hands of Validus while he and the Legion battled the Fatal Five.
However, another young man named Jacques Foccart from Côte d'Ivoire would come into contact with the the Legion when their resident scientist Brainiac Fieve had attempting to cure Jacques' younger sister Danielle from a neurological condition.. Instead, the evil Computo transmitted its computerize brain into the girl, similar to how in a future era on Earth-Two a young woman named Maria was cloned as a robot by the sinister Rotwang To do his bidding. In order to save Danielle, and the Legionnaires, Foccart consumed the invisible serum and gained invisibility powers. As a side effect, early in his career as a Legionnaire he discovered that he also gained the power to transport in space even between dimensional realities.
His counterpart was a young man named Troy Stewart born on an adjacent alternate Earth to that of the Legion, which would logically be Earth-Two. He himself was a resident of the dimension-hopping Marzal Island in the Mediterranean Sea which for centuries shifted between the universes, making its home for approximately thirty years of each Earth it shifted to. While still a youth, he witnesses his homeland transferring onto the world for which the Legion had made its home later.
As a young boy, Troy learned that he had the mutant ability to use his focal cords to create various sonic pitches granting him various powers. Among these was the ability the generate concussive blasts, fly and teleport through space even between dimensional realities. Adopting the alias of Tyroc, Troy protected Marzal Island from various external threats which led to his first encounter with the Legion.
Although initially apprehensive of his fellow Super-Heroes, thinking they were insensitive to the plight of his fellow countrymen in the past, Tyroc soon discovered that Martzal was considered isolationist from the rest of the world undoubtedly due to its transitory nature through space and time. He would join the Legion and serve for a brief period as a member in before Marzal Island prematurely shifted out of Earth-One's universe as a side effect of Tyroc's powers.
While the second Invisible Kid was a reluctant hero, he nearly retired after he had inadvertently teleported both himself and a foe into outer space leading to his enemy's death. Convinced by his colleagues that this was accidental not intentional, he committed to honing his abilities and was side by side with his fellow Legionnaires when they encountered the Earth-Two of their era during the Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Five years later, Jacques and Troy had occasion to meet as Tyroc and his city were brought back to the Legion's reality, perhaps due to after effects of the Crisis. As his beloved Marzal fell to the alien Dominators who had invaded Earth-One and temporarily conquered it. Tyeoc was enlisted into becoming second in command of Invisibke Kid's resistance cell. Eventually, Foccart and Stewart were elected to become the new president and vice-president of Earth, attempting to save humanity from the dire effects on Earth-One caused by the invasion. Concurrent to this, Tyroc's homeworld of Earth-Two remained intact, protected by the Space Legion and Defenders.
