Jet-setters Join Just-a-lotta Justice Jocks

Adam Strange and Hop Harrigan were loners among their peers, although close-nit to their intimate family units. On occasion, they did meet their Worlds’ Greatest Super-Heroes, more so Adam than Hop.

Adam worked alongside the Justice League of America to battle alien warlord Kanjar Ro, who on at least four occasions attempted to conquer Rann-One. Their first meeting was the case of “The Planet that Came to a Standstill” involving Strange and Leaguers Batman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern. Eventually, the League would be guests of honor at Adam’s wedding to his longtime Rannian girlfriend Alanna.

Hop only met the Justice Society of America once, when his pal Tank Tinker performed as a stuntman under the name Super-Duper Man. Each time his life was threatened, members of the Society such as Hawkman, Flash, Doctor Mid-Nite, Batman, Superman and Green Lantern saved Tank. It was Lantern who inspired Harrigan years later to adopt the alias of Blsck Lamp, perhaps partially to impress his longtime girlfriend Geraldine, who was a bit more fickle than Mrs. Strange.
